Used Textbook Association Launches Re-designed Website

Omaha, Nebr., September 8, 2008 - The Used Textbook Association announces the launch of the redesigned Used Textbook Association website www.usedtextbookassociation.org. The redesigned UTA site offers expanded resources and more information to further assist bookstore managers in advancing the value proposition used textbooks offer the marketplace.

"The Used Textbook Association is committed to sharing information about the advantages that used textbooks offer students," said Eunice Clark, Executive Director, Used Textbook Association. "Used textbooks offer immediate savings for students who face increasing costs for continuing their education. UTA members are proud to promote the goal of affordable textbooks at colleges and universities across the country."

The UTA web site provides visitors information on the true costs of textbooks; the advantages of timely adoptions by faculty members; and ideas on expanding the supply of used textbooks. In addition, the resources section provides important industry facts and insights. A news center has been added to provide direct access to timely and accurate information for media and industry leaders.

Only UTA members can access more than 100 specially designed marketing tools. Members have complete campaign materials for faculty adoption, true cost of textbooks, and stopping high prices. The tools include online calculators that allow members to illustrate unique textbook costs and savings for their faculty members. Members can utilize the research section, which includes the results of the recent UTA and Collegiate Research Services survey on the value of used textbooks for students.

"The Used Textbook Association is extremely proud of this improved resource for our members," said Clark. "We believe that we reinforce the UTA as a leading source of vital information for the industry. The new expanded toolkits offer members easier access to a complete range of campaign pieces. Our website is updated, focused and we invite visitors to learn more about the UTA and used textbook issues."
